In Hugo
Frisco Depot Museum -- Cared for by the Choctaw County Historical Society, the depot is the original built in 1902 at the founding of the city of Hugo. Displays inside include a model train layout, a miniature circus, and life size vignettes of life at the turn of the century. The marble lunch counter from The Harvey House restaurant remains, as well as momentos from the Harvey Girls who lived and worked at the depot.

| Mount Olivet Cemetery -- This historic cemetery is internationally famous for Showman's Rest, a section with special circus tent and animal monuments dedicated to circus performers. Another section is the resting place of legendary bull riders Freckles Brown and Lane Frost.

| Endangered Ark Foundation -- Founded and managed by Carson and Barnes Circus, this organization promotes the safety and breeding of elephants. So far, two baby elephants have been born in Hugo! |

Near Hugo
Goodland Boys Home, south of Hugo -- The oldest continuously operated children's home in the United States, this school is presently operated by the Presbyterian Church. Its campus includes many historic buildings and the rich history of Choctaw County and Oklahoma is preserved there.

| Choctaw Nation Gaming Center, south of Hugo -- Brand new and growing, the Choctaw Casino offers gaming and entertainment daily. Conveniently located on Hwy 271, it attracts Texans and Oklahomans alike.

| Roebuck Lake, south of Hugo -- The only natural lake in Oklahoma, this pretty lake is surrounded by ranch land. |

Hugo Lake State Park, east of Hugo -- The newest Oklahoma state park, Hugo Lake is famous for its excellent bass fishing. There's a marina, housekeeping cabins and rustic cabins around the lake.
Fort Towson, east of Hugo -- Built in 1824 in Oklahoma Indian Territory, the fort has a rich historic past as a trading post and, later, as the site of the last treaty ending the Civil War. Work, including archeological digs, continues to restore the fort and document its history.

| Boswell, west of Hugo -- This small town carries on the traditions of Southeast Oklahoma. Famous for its on-location scene from the movie "Two-Lane Blacktop", Boswell still has the flavor of towns once found along Route 66. More recent attractions are the WindyGlen Kennel and Training facility near Boswell, and the MasterWorks dulcimer factory near Bennington. |
