Chainsaw Tree Sculpture

Well known chainsaw sculptor Clayton Coss, from Inola Oklahoma, carved our tree in February 2007.  Coss is a chainsaw wood sculptor, using a chainsaw as his only tool.  He has been sculpting wood since November 1985 when his father talked him into entering a chainsaw sculpting contest.  He has carved literally thousands of trees in the Tulsa area and surrounding states.  His work is featured on his website  www.chainsawsculpturesbycoss.com

The new tree sculpture, highly visible in front of The Village Inn in the 600 block of West Jackson Street, is also sponsored by the Hugo Arts Council and is a part of Hugo Area Chamber of Commerce Homecoming Celebration, an Oklahoma Centennial Project.
